Reflection: Stuck or Seasons

The season's are changing as we move towards Autumn. The leaves fall and the days get shorter. Today I picked a few September Strawberries from my garden left untouched by the chipmunk that shares my space. Wet leaves drift into the koi pond and I am reminded of the need for recognizing the seasons of my own life. Sometimes when we set goals and vision we can get lost in the craving for progress. I know that in my own life I tend to focus on achievement over process. I want to "arrive" much like a zinnia bursting in full color and I feel frustrated when my expectations are left with disappointment. When we continually set expectations of outcomes we can feel stuck in the process of struggle and disappointment. It is important to set goals and meaningful tasks, as well as, recognize how our journey changes with the seasons of our lives.

Spending time in meaningful reflection helps to reframe our energy towards what is most purposeful. I reset my focus on my heart's desire for the time I spend on this earth, the relationships that are critical for my life, and the spiritual growth I want to be aligned with. I refocus on a heart of service and the desire to love for my life's breath. Everyday and in every season I follow the guide of my Creator who set me in this garden. I look for the changing seasons and release my energy from outcomes. I do not exist as a machine engineered for production. I am a human "being" rather than a human "doing". I exist to experience the garden in all of it's beautiful changes. I breathe in my tiny drops of oils and let me mind drift to the smells of nature and the Creator.

Take time to reflect on the moments of your day. How you drift and when you allow your mind to find comfort in changes, comfort through the journey. Take a tiny drop of essential oils and breathe through your stress. Allow your heart to play for a moment in the changes in your life instead of comparing yourself to expectations. Be at peace.
